As a Remote QA Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge mobile applications. Your expertise in testing and problem-solving skills will be essential in delivering seamless and intuitive user experiences across various mobile platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications.

• Conduct thorough testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing, to ensure the highest quality of our mobile applications.

• Identify and document software defects and issues in a clear and concise manner, working closely with the development team to address and resolve them.

• Perform compatibility testing on various devices and platforms to ensure optimal performance across a wide range of user scenarios.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and participate in continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) processes to enhance testing efficiency.

• Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and verify reported issues and conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying problems.

• Stay updated on the latest mobile testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, and proactively suggest improvements to the QA process.

• Participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

• Assist in documenting and maintaining QA-related processes and guidelines.

• Work closely with the backend and mobile development teams to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality across the entire application.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a strong portfolio of successful mobile application testing projects.

• Proficiency in testing mobile applications on Android and/or iOS platforms.

• Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools such as Appium, Selenium, XCUITest, Espresso, or similar.

• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, defect tracking, and test management tools.

• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment, with excellent communication skills across different time zones.

• Understanding of mobile app architecture and design principles.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cross-platform mobile testing using tools like Appium or Detox.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with performance testing and profiling tools.

• Experience with security testing of mobile applications.

• Contributions to open-source testing projects or active involvement in the QA community.
